iTero Hits One Million Downloads – Inside the LoL Companion App

»iTero« just crossed one million downloads.

»iTero« announced one million downloads via X on September 2, 2026 – and that's a milestone we're happy to congratulate the team on.

The companion app for League of Legends started as an idea to build a better companion for the game – according to the developers, it has since grown into one of the most widely used third-party applications for League.

From 500,000 to one million downloads in a single year, plus a 300 percent increase in daily active users – that's a growth pace you don't see often in such a crowded market.

The numbers behind the announcement

As announced by iTero.gg's official X account on September 2, the app has been downloaded one million times since launch.

  • Speaking to RunItDown, iTero founder and CEO Jack J put the number into perspective: A year ago, in September 2025, the download counter stood at 500,000 – downloads have effectively doubled since then.
  • According to Jack J, the number of daily active users (DAU) has even grown by 300 percent over the same period.

For a third-party tool not officially run by Riot, one million downloads is a notable figure – especially in a League companion app market already crowded with players like »OP.GG«, »Mobalytics«, and »Porofessor«. A relatively young tool holding its own against established names deserves credit.

What iTero actually does

iTero positions itself as an all-in-one companion for League – from the draft phase through the postgame. On its official website, the developers describe the app's functionality as follows:

Real-time drafting tool: During champion select, iTero says it analyzes both teams, your own match history, and your champion pool to produce pick and build recommendations.

Once both teams have locked in, the app also provides a breakdown of the matchup and the macro strategy for that specific game.

  • This is also the part of the app that stands out most from the competition – most drafting tools on the market show static win-rate tables, while iTero recalculates live as the lobby changes.
  • Switch your pick multiple times during the draft, and you get an updated recommendation with every switch, not just a one-time overview before the game starts.

See for yourself: iTero is free for Windows – draft recommendations, Macro Coach, and every in-game overlay included.

Macro Coach: A postgame analysis tool that reviews your matches and identifies specific macro mistakes holding back your rank progress – including a strengths-and-weaknesses profile and personalized statistics.

  • Unlike the raw after-the-fact stats many tracker sites offer, Macro Coach attempts to pinpoint a cause – for example, a poor wave decision ahead of an objective, rather than just the raw gold difference at a given point in time.

In-game overlays: During the match, iTero overlays jungle camp respawn timers, a recommended skill order, a team gold tracker, a damage tracker, and cooldown indicators for enemy ultimates, among other things.

💡
iTero is fully Riot-approved – none of its features can get you banned.

The app's own Discord server is also buzzing: iTero CEO Jack – who, since the GiantX acquisition, has also served as the LEC team's Head of Gaming Tech – shows up daily to hear out his community's requests and put them into practice.

No wonder, then, that iTero has crossed the million mark. All that's left to say is: Congratulations iTero!
